Whisky Plus by Tina Frederick

WhiskyPLUS, Malaysia’s premier whisky and spirits tasting event, has grown exponentially since its inaugural edition in 2018, organized by TEG Media. The event began in Kuala Lumpur with hundreds of whisky enthusiasts exploring over 50 global whisky brands, along with boutique gins, vodkas, rums, and a curated selection of fine cigars. By 2019, WhiskyPLUS expanded its reach, hosting another KL edition and debuting in Penang, further solidifying its place in Malaysia’s spirits scene.

In 2023, I had the privilege of being the official photographer for this iconic event. Through my lens, I captured the vibrant atmosphere, the camaraderie among attendees, and the elegance of the whisky-tasting experience. My photographs showcase the meticulous details that make WhiskyPLUS a standout event: from the gleaming bottles of rare spirits to the lively expressions of whisky enthusiasts savoring their pours.

This project was not only a celebration of fine spirits but also a testament to the art of storytelling through photography. I aimed to immortalize the essence of WhiskyPLUS 2023, where passion for whisky met the joy of shared experiences.
